About
I’m Daniel Peirce and I create photographs of motorcycles and cars for publication. Well, mostly motorcycles, but I like cars too. Trick Photography is my sideline business. My day job for the last thirteen years has been as the head of photography for Tucker Rocky and Biker’s Choice. You may not have heard of them before, but they are two of the largest distributors of motorcycle parts, accessories and apparel in the nation. I produce photography for their catalogs and magazine advertising.
Trick Photography does a good deal of editorial work for several magazines. You’ll find my pictures used in regional publications such as Ride Texas and Crusin’ Times, as well as the national publications such as Cycle World, The Robb Report, Hot Bike and American Iron. I also do work for the motorcycle trade magazines such as DealerNews and Motorcycle Product News.
My newest venture is as an art
photographer. I have over 28 years
in the commercial photography business and this is the first time I’ve made
pictures solely to satisfy my own sense of esthetics.
My engine and automotive projects are pretty much pornography for gear
heads. I love a naked engine.
My gratification comes when other folks appreciate these pictures as much
as I do. Folks seem to like them.
My regular ride is a customized 1978 Honda CB750, known as the Land Shark. I’ve owned many motorcycles over the years, but the Land Shark is the one I keep and ride the most.
